Burghfield and Mortimer Volunteer Bureau

What we need: Office Staff

If you can spare two hours on one weekday morning per week, you could spend it in the office of the Volunteer Bureau, taking 'phone calls from inhabitants of Burghfield, Mortimer and surrounding villages who have medical or related appointments and are unable to get to them by using public transport or arranging their own. You note the requirement, telephone a driver or drivers to find one who can take the passenger, and record the details of the trip in a day book. Other tasks include maintaining addresses and telephone numbers of passengers and drivers.

If you are unable to commit to a regular morning, you could still be useful standing in for regular volunteers who are absent for any reason.
